2006 Working Grants
For the first time with this edition Mobile Academy has the chance
to award four working grants to artists who have been intensely
involved in Mobile Academy Warsaw 2006. The choice is as follows:
Oskar Dawicki for
his further research and artistic approach on Active Absence'
that was successfully realized in Mobile Academy's Blackmarket 1
(08.10.2005 in Politechnika Warszawa) and Blackmarket 2 (02.09.2006
in a private flat in ul. Szucha 2/4).

Joanna Rajkowska for artistic councelling of Mobile Academy's
course City as Stage in presenting her ongoing project Greetings
from Jerusalem Avenue' for which she built a Palm Tree in the middle
of Warsaw at the corner of Nowy Swiat (New World) Street and Aleje
Jerozolimskie (Jeruzalem Avenue).

Monika Zawadska, who was participating in the course City
as Stage for her
own private gallery space Zoo in Krakowskie Przedmiescie,
an
extraordinary, non-profit gallery presenting many interesting projects
of
young polish artists. In order to develop her out-standing exhibitions
further!

Alex Jenkins, participant in the course for Choreography
and Dance' who recently moved back from London to Warsaw in order
to realize an artistic project in his home town: "...working
with Meg Stuart and Jorge Leon inspired me to use and explore the
amazing spaces that I know the city has and create a site-specific
performance or a series of performances."
